Country Leisure Fibreglass can turn its hand to producing almost any product using glass fibre reinforced plastic, and the telecommunications industry is no exception.

The Company provides standard bespoke products such as antenna casings and has also been instrumental in the success of some highly sensitive and unique projects around the world.

Telecommunications antennae are usually subject to stringent planning considerations, often creating problems that need to be resolved to ensure the execution of the project. The ‘windmill’ (see picture right) is a prime example. When Mercury Telecom was refused planning permission for a new steel telecommunications tower, a completely innovative structure was suggested – a ‘false’ windmill. Country Leisure Fibreglass made the idea reality by creating transparent fibreglass structures at the tip of the windmill sails to house three telecommunications antennae without obstruction of the antennae signals.
